The peak of the fire

A broken hearted story. We lost…  The peak of the fire was on Saturday when many staff went back home for Ramadhan and only Christian staff and one Moslem staff left to guard the post and checking the fires. The wind blew so big and brought the fire crossed the fire line and we couldn’t control it anymore. Inun the babysitter was in Pesalat forest at that moment following orangutans, there she cried to see the thick smoke coming from Beguruh direction , we all worry if the fire reached Pesalat where we released orangutans, our orangutans would die, luckily not, but we lost many. We couldn’t save our work and  were chased by the fire instead. Thanks God not long after the big fire the rains came, Tanjung Harapan post was saved, Pesalat post was saved . We lost some of our reforestation works and also the Reforestation Manager.

He made a vow that he will quit smoking forever if Beguruh saved from the fire, but if the fire burnt and his work, he will quit the work in Tanjung Puting. I Don’t know wheter this is a wise thing to do or not but I understand the feeling.

Ok Team… cheer up and hope a star will shine upon us.

God bless  us all.

    Hey Ikan karing, thanks
i replied this on the post so other people also could read it easily. Oya, Basuki is going back to java, he is sick at the moment, we don’t know wheter he’ll be back or not but hopefully he will come back here. When he left he was so broken heart and so stressful from the fire and said that he’s quit but We still keep in touch with him and we found out that he still would like to be back here. So maybe we are not loosing the Reforestation Manager: )
    ok see you
    Regards
